How are you living your dash?

2 min read

I was reading a book the other day and the author was talking about your "dash". Do you know what that is?

Look at a headstone in a graveyard. You have a birth date and a death date. In between the dates is the dash. That's the important part. It's not your birth or your death - it's what you do in between that counts. Are you living your life to the fullest? Are you pursuing your dreams?

Everyday is a blessing. You owe it to yourself to go out and live each day. Get out there each day and live life in a positive manner. Be productive. You also need to go out and pursue your dreams - don't get to the end of your dash wishing you had.

So many people are sitting around watching life happen. Don't be one of these people. If you are, it's not too late. Get out there and start living!

The same thing is true about your business life. Your business has a start date and an ending date. What's important is what you do with your business in-between. In other words, the dash.

Are there things that you could do to move your business forward? Are there classes you'd like to take? Now's the time! I'm a firm believer in that each day is a chance to start over. So, go out today and start fresh!

I could think of nothing more horrible than to get to the end of my "dash" and not have lived it! I hope you feel the same way!
